There are many first aid training companies offering what appear to be similar courses. Here are some of the things which make us different:
Exceptional hand picked paediatric NHS nurses who bring their knowledge and experience to each and every class
Our trainers are all paediatric NHS nurses working in hospitals, clinics and the local community throughout the UK. They have specialist knowledge of CPR and essential first aid for babies, infants and children and an enormous amount of experience working with babies and children on a day to day basis. They bring this knowledge and experience to each and every class they teach. When you book your class you will get a mini CV on your trainer so that you can see the experience he or she brings to your class.
Glossy laminated A3 wall chart for every participant
We have designed our own easy-to-follow A3 laminated wall charts to support our paediatric first aid classes. They provide an ongoing reminder of what you have been taught and at-a-glance advice in an emergency.
You choose the time and the place
First aid courses are conducted at your home, nursery or workplace. Weekends, evening or weekdays are all the same to us so you can choose the best time for you, your family and friends.
Small groups ONLY
We are strict about keeping class sizes small so that we provide the best possible learning environment. Being taught in small groups in a comfortable and familiar environment inspires confidence and ensures that every participant receives attention and care. You can practice at your own pace, ask as many questions as you like and be totally honest about your areas of concern.
We don’t believe in shock tactics
We have a policy of absolutely no scaremongering. We know that the topic of accidents, injury and illness is difficult enough without sensational headlines and warnings. We aim to build awareness and confidence and empower parents and carers to take action if they need to.
Classes developed by paediatric emergency consultants
You will enjoy a relevant and up to date training experience originally developed by Dr Peter Thompson, who was the lead paediatric emergency doctor at Kings College Hospital Emergency Department and now overseen by Dr Tina Sajjanhar. Tina is the Clinical Director for paediatrics at University Hospital Lewisham which has one of the only 24 hour dedicated Children’s Emergency Departments in London and is also one of the busiest, seeing over 30,000 children a year.
